Orthosis and bandages

The classic definition is: orthoses protect and support the movement apparatus. Orthoses and bandages are medical devices which are prescribed by the physician in the case of injuries and diseases of the holding and movement apparatus and which can promote healing. The goal is to support people in their mobility. Orthoses can stabilize, immobilize, relieve or physiologically correct the body and affected limbs. Therefore, misalignments and misloads can be pre-determined, counteracted or corrected. In case of lasting impairments, they can maintain the functions and prevent or reduce pain.
